Mizukage Residence

The Mizukage Residence consists of a large mansion occupied by the Mizukage during their reign, administrative offices, and is located in the center of the village. It consists of a large, cylindrical pavilion on the top with the offices and housing near the bottom. The building towers over the other buildings of the village. It houses the Mizukage's office and several other administrative offices, including the Mission Assignment Office.

Academy

The Academy is a large building consisting of both a training center for Academy Students, as well as an administrative side. The academy is large and is comprised of a two buildings. The building can be identified by the giant sign that adorns the front, with the kanji for Water (水) on it. The classrooms in the academy are large and have high ceilings, based on a theory that larger classrooms lead to expansive education, expanding even to the blackboard itself. In front of the blackboard is a podium, situated far from the students' desks and put in a position where the teacher can view everyone at once.

Training Grounds

Four training grounds used by Shinobi to better themselves. A high, wooden wall surrounds the perimeter of each training ground, with gates equally spaced around them. Shinobi enter through these gates. Since the four training grounds are situated around a large lake, each one is visible from another. The grounds consist of mostly wet, forested area and each has access to the large lake. The total radius of the grounds is about fifty kilometers, with the lake occupying 10 of these kilometers.

Downtown

The streets of Kirigakure are bustling. Shops and other businesses litter the main streets. A town square serves as a central meeting place for many travelers and villagers. However, it is located one block east from the center of town, which is marked by the Mizukage's Residence. Most of the day, the village is covered in a thick mist, but during the clear patches in the afternoon, one can see the large mountain range located behind the village form this location. One can also see the Mizukage Residence and the Academy.

Town Residences

This area of the village consists of most of the villager's homes. The houses are usually larger, town-homes stacked on top of one another. Clan compounds are located within this area as well, and are usually fenced-in communities that hold their houses and Clan meeting halls. The Shinobi dorms are located in this area as well.

Village Gates and Outskirts

The gates to the village are located here, along with the checkpoint that is used to check the bags and travel permissions of foreign travelers. Two Chuunin stand guard at the gate at all times. The outskirts of the village consists of various paths and walkways that dot the many small islands. These are connected by bridges. The north side of the out skirts runs along the beginning of the mountain range. Some other paths branch off of these, leading into town. There are a few residences out this way as well but this is pathways and the slope up into the mountain range.
