Nidaime Mizukage
Hōzuki, Akira

BASIC INFORMATION

Name: Hōzuki, Akira
Title/Alias: Nidaime Mizukage
Age: 31
Gender: Male

Appearance:
Standing at an even six feet, Akira is rather average in terms of height. He weighs in at one hundred seventy-five pounds with an athletically toned body build. One of Akira's identifying features is the darker, almost cream complexion. While Akira's skin tone is not as dark as Shinobi who hail from Kumogakure, it is indeed a rather dark complexion among Kirigakure citizens. Offsetting the darker complexion are his bright, emerald green eyes. Given his geographical location, these traits are very prominent and tend to standout among other members of his village. However, the rest of the particular family line within the Hōzuki Clan shares similar characteristics. Akira has smooth facial features that show only hints of his age but he can often be seen with a five o'clock shadow on his busiest of days.

Akira's attire consists of black, below-knee length pants, traditional Shinobi short-sleeved mesh chain-mail which is worn beneath a light, long-sleeve, collared blue and yellow jacket. Combat sandals adorn his feet. His forearms are wrapped in bandages from the wrist to the middle of the forearm and then fingerless gloves with plating are worn over those. The Mizukage's hat is worn over his shoulder from right to left and rests on his back at most times. However, for some events or formal meetings, he will don the hat. For warmer climates, Akira may choose to exclude the jacket from his attire and simply wear the mesh chain-mail. For colder climates, the jacket will be replaced with a very similar, heavy-coat. The only differences between the two are the inclusion of a parka-like hood for the coat and the inside lining of the coat being made of fur.

Height: 6 ft.
Weight: 175 lbs
Build: Athletically Toned
Hair Color & Style: Dark Brown :: Short
Eye Color: Green

Personality:
Akira's personality and attitude are summed up as relaxed and devoted, despite being a Kiri-nin. With his career choice comes the natural love of fighting and loyalty to his village, which serves as the basis for his becoming a Shinobi. Akira believes in the strict rules and training regiment he was brought up with during his time as a student of Kirigakure. He shares a near-violent love for battle with each of his village peers, but as their leader he shown much control and discipline . However, he doesn't believe such rules constitute harshness or unfriendliness, despite being part of one of the first generations of academy students to fight each other to the death in order to graduate. He makes a point of getting to know those who are assigned with or under him whenever the opportunity presents itself. Having become head Jounin and then being appointed to the position of Mizukage has caused this to become rather hard to do as of late, but Akira will still attempt. He enjoys the company of friends when not taking care of anything work related. When he was younger he enjoyed going about with close friends in small groups. Now as the Mizukage, he can be rather comfortable around larger groups in a social or formal setting, though this is not his preference. To say the least of the man's character, Akira is very dependable. He makes it a point to follow through with any promises he makes or tasks that are assigned to him. Thus, he is a very reliable Shinobi and uses whatever means are needed to accomplish his tasks, within reason. This translates into reasonable leadership skill and Akira takes the initiative to see his village through every matter that he possibly can. Though he partook in the civil war and suffered personal loss he still retains a care free air about him. Thus his overall attitude is rather lighthearted, but this is not to say the man is naive. Losing both of his parents to the war has taught him much on the subject of grief and hardened his will. He is well aware of the repercussions of his actions both now and from the past.

Such a rather cool exterior is closed over many secret talents. The man is a gifted tactician. He is always careful to consider each outcome his actions will have on a situation, making sure to account for as many variables as he can imagine. He also takes the enemy or objective's actions into account as well. While it is impossible for one to have an exact knowledge of what one's opponent will do on the battle field, Akira tends to leave room for improvisation in order to counter the enemy's tactics when necessary. This skill can mostly be attributed to his many strokes of luck, combined with his intellect rather than any non-existent, supernatural power. Akira's devotion and determination can are best reflected in his abilities as a Shinobi. He is very proficient with his Suiton Chakra nature and his Kekkei Tōta abilities as well. He is also a master of the Hōzuki Clan's Hijutsu. This stems directly from years upon years of intense training and the will to grow stronger. While it may seem like the man has had an abundance of good luck, this is not to say that he has not seen his share of unfortunate circumstances. That aside, his experiences have gotten him and his comrades out of several dire situations.

Overall, Akira is a not only the Mizukage, but a Shinobi of Kirigakure first and foremost. Just like any of his peers, he fights to protect his village and serve the country. Yet, he also tries his best to be a tactical, fair, and enthralled leader. The fact that he can keep his head up after such conflicts and bloodshed as well as retain his lighthearted and relaxed manner, is a testament to the man's warm spirit. Yet he still loves a good fight when the opportunity presents itself and has a bit of a hardened side. Like all human beings, there is no one word that can describe the man's personality. Nor is there one personality type that Akira falls under. He angers like any other man, laughs like any other man, and loves like any other man. Still, Akira is a dependable and capable Shinobi who loves testing his battle prowess and would lay his life on the line in order to protect his village and those close to him. He is the man to have as a comrade, friend, peer, and mentor.

Hōzuki

History:

Hōzuki, Akira entered into the Shinobi world in 1534, just after the Shodaime Hokage had distributed the Bijuu to the various Hidden Villages. His Grandfather, the Shodaime Mizukage of the Hōzuki Clan and his parents were all prominent Shinobi within the Hidden Mist Village and as such the turmoil of the times put the family under great stress. Yet, the Shodaime and the rest of the family were happy to have a new addition to their house and the entirety of the Hōzuki Clan welcomed Akira into the world on the day of his birth. Takeshi and Natsumi were proud to have such a strong and healthy baby boy and the rest of the Hōzuki Clan rejoiced in the boy's birth. However, the celebration only drew their attention away from the state of their village for a brief time. Eventually they would turn their attention back to the problems at hand and only the Shodaime, Takeshi, and Natsumi would continue to coddle the newborn.

Akira's first years of growing up were full of happy moments and fond memories. Being too young to understand much of what was going on, perhaps he only thought the memories fond given that he could not comprehend much else. Nonetheless, Akira's first five years were full of joy. He spent much time with his Mother and would often accompany her to the hospital where she worked as a Medical Ninja. His father spent a most days out of the house running missions for the village and taking care of various other work related issues. However, Akira looked forward to the evenings when he would come home, eager to hear stories of his exploits as a Shinobi. Akira also spent a good deal of time with his Grandfather when he was in his office but often times such visits were sporadic. Despite this, Akira was eager to hear about his Grandfather's stories from his days as a young Shinobi as well, and the Shodaime often encouraged the boy to pursue becoming a young Shinobi. Such memories and fond times were all that the boy concerned himself with but during his fifth year the Shinobi World would turn down the path of change and it would sweep up the young boy and many others along with it.

In 1539, Iwagakure and Kumogakure procured the Bijuu of two of the smaller Shinobi Villages by force. This shifted the balance of power and both villages intended to procure more Bijuu for themselves. Many of the clan leaders within Kirigakure saw this as an ill omen and pushed for the Mizukage to implement a plan that would result in Kirigakure claiming a second Bijuu as well. This argument would bounce back and forth for three years before the Mizukage finally saw fit to send a team into Kusagakure to claim a second Bijuu. Akira was now eight years old. His first day at the Shinobi Academy happened to fall on the same day that the Mizukage gave the order for this team to dispatch and head for Kusagakure. The boy and many of the other villagers were oblivious to this mission, which had been proposed by members of the Yuki Clan.

For Akira life was grand during these times. He was beginning his instruction on becoming a Shinobi and being just like his Grandfather, Mother, and Father. He would often envision himself a hero, stepping over many unconscious piles of enemy Shinobi. He knew nothing of the seriousness of battle as of yet and he would not gain any of this knowledge until his tenth year. It was a clear afternoon in the Hidden Mist Village, the Hōzuki compound was quiet. Most of the children were off at the academy studying or sparring. Yet the silence was broken across the compound as ten year old Akira screamed and bawled as he ran home, holding his bloody arm close to his chest. He stormed into his house looking for his parents but was unable to find them. By this time he had stirred up quiet a ruckus within the clan compound but no one could seem to calm him down. Frightened and desperate, the boy ran out of the compound all the way to the Mizukage's tower. He had often made it in the tower without going through the entrance process for he was the grandson of the Shodaime. Yet he caught much attention this day with his wailing. Lost with fear, he collapsed in a hallway. His Grandfather rushed to him immediately, taking him to the village hospital. The boy had been in a kunai throwing competiton with a classmate whose aim was dead on. It was the first time Akira had ever seen that amount of blood. He was scarred and really just wanted to give up on becoming a Shinobi. Thus when he awoke he expressed as much to his Grandfather. The man merely looked at him with an intense glare before heading toward the door. His only words being 'very well.' This disappointment in the man's voice was obvious and this hurt Akira more than any physical pain could.

The next day the boy returned to his Grandfather's tower just before class time. He charged into the Mizukage's office, holding back tears and told his Grandfather that he refused to quit. He did not want to disappoint his Grandfather and the fact that he had almost done so was too much for him. Thus, he would endure any pain and bare any burden in order to fulfill his dream and make the Shodaime proud. The next two years would pass in a flash and before long, Akira would come to graduate from Kirigakure's Shinobi Academy in 1546 at the age of 12. He grew to be much more mature at that time, as he like every other graduate was forced to kill a classmate in order to ensure his continuation down the path of Shinobi. Surprisingly he felt no shame in doing this, which was almost an entire opposite from his previous line of thinking. Akira, the boy that had ran throughout the village screaming because of the sight of his own blood not too long ago became a killer in an instant. He plunged his kunai deep into the chest of his male opponent, a student that had made fun of him from day one. Perhaps that twist of fate was what made it so easy for the boy to take his classmate's life. Regardless of how, the fact remained that he was blessed not to have to kill a dear friend.

GENIN YEARS

Now a Genin, Akira was busy with mission after mission after tedious, boring mission. Indeed, the D-ranked missions were nothing like the work he had expected going into the Academy. Instead of fighting enemies and coming back a hero Akira was running errands for villagers and locating lost items. Other such tedious tasks were presented to him and the other two Genin he had been assigned to work with. Yet for all the complaining they did, they also made sure they completed each of these tasks in a timely manner and to the best of their abilities. Whether or not they knew it at the time, Akira and the other Genin were slowly adding to their reputation. It so happened that Akira took on mission after mission of similar nature that he was soon allowed to partake in a C-rank mission involving escorting a group of mainland farmers back to the western harbor in 1547. Now 13 years old, Akira was more than happy to finally get an important mission. Things ran smoothly and after a mere day of travel the farmers and the group of Genin and their sensei made it to the harbor. Seeing them off was the easy part and though it had been rather boring, Akira could now say that he had his first semi-important mission under his belt.

Akira continued taking more and more missions under his belt during the course of his 14th year. Yet his training was far from over. His Father and Grandfather took to instructing him in the way of his first chakra nature and so began Akira's path toward becoming an excellent shinobi. It came to be that Akira had a natural affinity for the Suiton element and thus did his Father and the Shodaime begin to instruct him in utilizing water in offensive and defensive applications. One of the first water-based jutsu he learned was the Hidden Mist Technique passed throughout the village. It was a magnificent jutsu that allowed one to cast a thick fog across a battlefield and Akira would cherish that technique for the rest of his life. In the next year, Akira turned 15 and now had a few water-based jutsu up his sleeve. It was at this time that he took part in the Second Annual Chuunin exams within Kirigakure. During this time, rumor and tension increased throughout the village. There was much talk of doings in the mainland countries and Shinobi Villages. Akira had never once left the Land of Water and was not very knowledgeable about the other villages and so most of this went right over his head. Yet, the tension in the air around the village was thicker than the natural mist and that was something he made sure to take note of.

His entrance into the Chuunin exams was a astounding. He passed the first trial with flying colors and the second trial was easy as well. His team was required to find three seals spread out across the swampland and then place them on each member of an opposing team, while defending themselves against being sealed in the same manner. Akira and his team prevailed with ease and the next trial was within their grasp. From the original 16 entrants only six had made it to the third and final trial; Two teams. They were then pitted against each other in one-on-one combat. Killing the opponent was optional but neither would the administration penalize for doing so and it was here that Akira again took another life. It was mostly due to a lack of restraint on his own part, for the opponent had been a member of the Yuki Clan and right off the bat the girl was taunting him and shouting curses to his clan and the Shodaime. Akira ignored the ranting and raving about his heritage but when the girl brought his grandfather to the chopping block, he could no longer forgive her. With a skillful execution of the Hidden Mist Technique, combined with his own clan's secret technique, Akira wrapped his liquified body around the girl's throat under the cover of the fog and crushed her wind pipe. Blood had stained his hands twice now but still he was not phased by this. She had insulted his grandfather, the leader of the Hidden Mist and her treason had to be silenced. So he had done just that and it had warranted his promotion to Chuunin that very day in 1549, at the age of 15.

CHUUNIN YEARS

That very year a breakthrough in sealing the dreaded Tailed Beasts had occurred and all the villages were bustling with the news. Now a Chuunin, Akira was more privy to such news and though he didn't quite understand what it meant at the time he knew full well that it was the main source of the exaggerated tension felt throughout the village. There were many more meetings with officials and commanders within the village and Akira's Grandfather seemed more busy than usual. It remained much this way for the rest of the year. Akira turned 16 years of age in 1550 and the world seemed to plunge in to darkness. Word had traveled to the Hidden Mist of Iwagakure's invasion of Suna, which resulted in a bloody battle lasting five days. Security throughout the village was tightened and many security-based missions would be assigned to Shinobi across the land. Akira was one of many that were sent to one of the various harbors of the Land of Water, tasked with watching the seas for incoming ships of unknown origin. Trade routes with the Hidden Stone and Hidden Sand received doubled watch and those harbors were tight for many months to come. Akira was assigned a lengthy mission that would keep him in such a harbor town for well over a year and by the time the year 1551 rolled around a full war was upon them. Akira received updates almost everyday about the status of the village. It seemed that the Hidden Mist was receiving strong urges from Iwagakure to join their effort against the Leaf and Sand. The Shodaime seemed to be feeling pressure within the village as well from both the Yuki and Kaguya Clans. During this year news also came of a Shinobi Village's decimation as a result of the war. Yukigakure, once a prominent village was now nothing more than ruins in a harsh land. Its people flocked to other villages and some even made it so far as Kirigakure. Akira had much time to ponder these events and wondered just what his Grandfather would do. Now 17 years of age he maintained his post in the harbor town until other instructions came to him.

In the next year, 1552 the decision was made to join the war and aide Kumo and Iwa in their effort to obtain a Jinchuuriki or the sealing methods to create one. Though they took to war under the guise of wanting to neutralize the advantage that Konoha and Suna now had, the truth of the matter was that they too sought such power. Now 18 years of age and with a better understanding of such things, Akira saw this fact more clearly than he had ever done so before. So when the order came down for their first attack, Akira was more than prepared to do so. It was Grandfather's order and more importantly this would ultimately serve to put Kirigakure on the map more so than it already was. With several other forces entering the harbor, the regiment took several boats across the ocean to the Land of Fire's harbor and made their first strike. The initial force of Kiri succeeded in crippling the Land of Fire's sole harbor, thus nullifying water-based transport and stopping their trade routes by such methods. The attack was well executed and with most of Konoha's forces concentrated on the front-lines there was little resistance. Akira took a major part in this first battle in preventing any defensive forces from leaving the harbor. He and several other Chuunin claimed the lives of Leaf Shinobi, one after another. Within six hours the force split into two battalions and began its march deeper into the Land of Fire. The first battalion headed north for the border while the second acted as a distraction, hoping to draw the Leaf's attention away from the first battalion. This effort failed however, as the Leaf Shinobi swooped in from the south within a matter of 24 hours and began pushing both battalions northward. Eventually the regiment was forced to retreat beyond the border where they regrouped with the rest of Kiri's forces that had come to the mainland though the Land of Lightning. Reorganizing themselves, Kirigakure joined the main force of Iwa and Kumo on the front lines and so began a major change within Akira.

Not only was this his first experience of the mainland but also his first experience of true war. For the next year he would fight battle after battle, on both large and small fronts. Often times he would face opponents three-on-one. Yet other times he would have plenty of backup from Kiri as well as Kumo and Iwa Shinobi. His roles changed nearly everyday, as he joined offensive battalions, participated in reconnaissance teams, and lead an ambush squadron. His hands were stained with even more blood and yet he had not broken, that is until he was backed against a wall. In a specific mission to ambush the border squads positioned along the Land of Fire's border, Akira and his team of Kumo and Iwa-nin were themselves ambushed. Death consume the team that night and only Akira managed to make it out alive. Yet he was not unharmed and he passed out cold before a rescue squad could arrive to claim him. During his unconsciousness, images of his teammates screaming and howling in agony flashed through his mind and his psyche was nearly broken. He had not grieved even once since taking his first life but it all came flooding out in the medical tent at their outpost. Even after awaking he was almost entirely unable to do anything. None of the others could wake him from his trance but when Akira's father stopped in the tent on a surprise visit he was soon returned to his normal self. His parent had been assigned to rest at this outpost before moving further south to aid in the efforts of penetrating the border. Knowing that his father was still alive and enduring the same pains that he was, meant the world to Akira. With very little words he was able to continue forward, reminded of the promise he shouted at his grandfather all those years ago.

JOUNIN YEARS

In 1554 Akira turned 20 and the war efforts were doubled. With the alliance of Kumo, Iwa, and Kiri having breached the northern border of the Land of Wind in the previous year the efforts of Kiri were focused on mimicking the same in regards to the Land of Fire's border. Now a Jounin, Akira had come under command over a battalion of his own that was charged with this very task. The alliance had obviously put pressure on Suna and the Leaf and thus the Leaf split their forces to help aid in the retaking of Suna's border. With this task achieved, Iwagakure joined Akira's battalion and with the aid of an Iwa-commander, the combined forces swept into Konoha and thus began the stalemate. Many battles were fought here and Akira himself claimed the lives of at least 100 opponents over the course of the rest of the war. A particular battle saw him facing multiple Suna and Leaf Jounin with only one ally: the very same commander that had aided him previously. Now 2o years old, Akira had not been focusing all of his time on the war. In fact any and all downtime had been spent training. Thus he had become familiar with two more chakra natures over the course of the war as well as during his time in the harbor town prior to the World War. Thus it was a flurry of earth, water, and lightning jutsu combined with the other man's advanced natures that took down the ten opponents before them. No words were spoken between Akira and the Iwa-nin but they each regarded the other with great respect and admiration.

The war efforts raged on both sides but neither could vanquish the other and Akira eventually came to think that the battles were becoming useless. He had seen first-hand just how much his own village had lost. Had he taken a venture he would have guessed they suffered the most casualties. His outlook on the war thus became very pessimistic and from on outside perspective he was sure that their alliance would soon fall to the power of the Hidden Leaf. Yet at the coming of the year 1555 an armistice treaty was signed after both sides called a truce. The Iwa, Kumo, and Kiri alliance removed themselves from the Land of Fire and within a month Akira was on his way back to the Hidden Mist. Pondering the reasons for the treaty, Akira could attribute them to nothing more than an exhaustion of forces on both sides. The Alliance of Stone, Cloud, and Mist had not achieved their goal and even after the war Iwagakure seemed very bitter about the outcome of the war. These thoughts were put on hold when Akira returned home to find that his village was indeed one of the hardest hit in terms of casualties. Though the front-lines had not reached the Hidden Mist nor the Land of Water at all, the damage was plain to see. Over half of the forces sent either didn't come back or were severely injured upon their return. Akira's family in particular was hit hard. His father whom he had seen not so long ago was pronounced dead in the field and his mother died soon after her return of grave wounds. His despair engulfed him for many months following, but he was no the only one. Most of the Hidden Mist seemed ravaged and nearly all smiles were hidden during this time. Akira's 21st birthday came about and none of his family was their to celebrate it save his Grandfather, the Shodaime Mizukage. Yet there was little to celebrate during this time. Recovery for Akira came slowly but eventually the thought of his parents became less painful. It mirrored the feelings of the rest of the village as the year came to a close.

Within the next year, Akira was brought to work more closely with his Grandfather. Now a 22 year old Jounin, he was a valuable asset to the village and even more so because the Shodaime secretly sought to pass the mantel of Mizukage onto him one day. Much of this year saw Akira training and taking on missions that involved gathering information on the movements of Iwagakure and Kumogakure. When the request for aid came from both of these countries, the Mizukage refused and turned over all intelligence of the Cloud and Stone's doings to the Leaf and Sand. The threat of civil conflict grew more and more ominous within the Hidden Mist, as many people blamed the Mizukage for the tragedy that befell them. Akira took stock of their words as they blamed his Grandfather's choice to side with Iwa and Kumo as the cause of their loved one's death. Two years pass in this manner as the Yuki Clan and Kaguya Clan seek to instigate violence, though most of it can be attributed to the Yuki Clans thirst for power and prominence once again. Their actions would continue in such manners and even permeated many Council meetings. Akira was rather disgusted with such actions and spent a lot of his time developing new techniques and in particular, an advanced nature of his own. Spurred on by thoughts of the Iwa-nin he had fought alongside during the war, he too wished to wield such power as he did. The man's chakra nature's seemed to combine and allow him even more use of his skills. Thus did Akira spend the two years seeking to combine his Water, Earth, and Lightning chakra nature. His training was grueling and produced little results at first but with time, he created the Mercury Release that would serve as the basis for some his most techniques. The combination of his three natures formed a liquified metal that was poisonous and malleable as well. With further training he came to formulate jutsu that utilized these traits. Treating the substance much like water he also took note of an ability to harden it like a metal for a short period of time. This ability took much focus and chakra though and wasn't permanent.

Regardless of the downfalls of the new chakra nature it was a weapon that Akira decided to become familiar with and thus his training focused mostly on it for quite some time. In 1559 he had perfected his new chakra nature just in time to utilize it, though his targets woere not who he would have hoped them to be. The threat of civil war had been looming over the Mist for years now and finally the Yuki Clan broke. The Kaguya and other clans ultimately chose to side with Mizukage over the disputes but the Yuki Clan was relentless. A full scale conflict broke out and Akira was caught up in it. He took the lives of several Yuki Clansmen, finding their rebellion pointless and in the end it did nothing but cut their existence in half. Yet it was this same conflict that claimed the life of the Shodaime Mizukage, much to Akira's disbelief at first. When all had been silenced the hunt for the killer began but to no avail. He had effectively fled the village and soon the country, marking the first renegade Shinobi in the history of the Hidden Village system. Mere days later, funeral arrangements were made and the Shodaime was buried under a large monument in his honor. Council meetings were held soon after to discuss the appointment of the Nidaime Mizukage. Though the Yuki Clan was still under watchful eyes they retained their position on the council and thus their representative was present as were representative from the Kaguya and the Hōzuki. The Yuki representative, in a bold move attempted to nominate a member of his clan to be appointed. This angered many within the council, including Akira who was merely present as a guard though at the request of his Clan's representative. The mere attempt at such a nomination only served as proof that the Yuki Clan did not mourn their previous leaders death. With the recent assassination, security had been raised all across the village and with the assassin hailing from the Yuki Clan, security around their compound was tight. Akira half wanted to stroll down to their compound and take the rest of their lives if this was the attitude they had. Yet that would serve to do nothing for either side, but instigate more violence and in all honestly Kirigakure had seen enough of it. Akira kept this thought to himself and it was a good thing as well, for had he made such thinking public he might not have been nominated for the position of Mizukage. After much deliberation the council chose to appoint Akira as the Nidaime and at the age of 25 he accepted the position with some hesitance, but this quickly turned into respect, gratitude, and honor. he had been considered for this position due to not only his performance in the war but also his recent development of his skills. Though he had not even considered the possibility prior to the nomination he was in fact one of the most powerful Shinobi in the Hidden Mist.

Over the next six years, Akira became more and more familiar with his new position as well as the various dealings that came with it. In such a short time he was forced to ingest a lot of knowledge but it my was well worth it. under his leadership Kirigakure began to flurish once more and rebuild itself after the war. The Academy Graduation Ritual was continued and the Shinobi Council was allowed more say in other local matters. Akira sought to unify the village despite the mutiny that had occurred previously. Even though his own dislike of the Yuki Clan was strong he saw the betterment of the village as top priority, though he would always keep a watchful eye on the clan. Now at the age of 31 he continues to perfect his techinques and monitor his village. During the beginning of his administration he picked up the pieces of his Grandfather's work in allying the Mist with the Leaf and Sand. This has recently come to fruition as Kirigakure prepares to partake int he first Joint Chuunin Exams in league with Suna and Konoha. However, this alliance has received much contempt from the Nidaime Tsuchikage whom Akira would identify as the Iwa-Jounin Commander he fought alongside with in during the World War. Suffice to say that tensions between Kiri and Iwa are high. Despite this Akira loks forward to the future and hopes to lead the Hidden Mist down the right path during his reign as Mizukage.

Affiliation: Kirigakure no Sato :: Mizu no Kuni
Rank: S-Rank :: Kage
Combat Style:
Akira is a very offensive, yet tactical fighter. Often times during any combat scenario Akira will toy with his opponents by holding back with his own jutsu. This gives him time to analyze any potential weak points in the opponents offense and defense. Once he has found the most opportune moment, Akira will strike in multiple ways depending on the nature of the fight. He possess several jutsu that can capture and subdue the opponent as well as several others that are meant for direct assault. His Taijutsu consists of mostly grapples and holds as well as some elemental combos. These aid him in subduing the opponent. However, he can utilize his clan's Hijutsu for Taijutsu combat as well. His Ninjutsu arsenal is full of powerful offensive and defensive techniques that make full use of not only his Kekkei Tōta, but his proficiency with the Suiton affinity as well. He also utilizes his Doton and Raiton chakra natures efficiently and while fearsome, they are not nearly as powerful as his Suiton abilities. He is well versed in the Shadow Clone Jutsu, as well as several elemental variations, and uses these to confuse and surprise his opponents from time to time, though he can only make up to 4 simultaneous clones at any given point without exhausting himself. However, this in itself is a testament to his chakra reserves, as any normal Shinobi would be able to muster 2 at best. Finally, he is a master of Genjutsu and often tried to control a fight with such techniques during the course of combat to lure his opponents into traps, etc.
